Privacy Policy

Rep x Reset is designed to be private by default. The app uses the iPhone camera for on-device body pose detection so it can count repeated movements, complete sets, and start rest timers.

Camera And Motion Processing

The camera feed is processed on your device. Rep x Reset does not store workout video, upload camera footage, or send pose frames to a server.

Product Analytics

Rep x Reset sends a limited set of product events to PostHog by default so we can understand whether setup, workouts, automatic rest timing, the paywall, purchases, and receipt sharing work as intended. Events may include the app version and build number, a coarse access stage, camera permission result, purchase result category, and whether a shared receipt had an optional photo or note. Analytics never includes the photo, note, or share destination.

The app creates a new random analytics identifier each time the app process launches. That temporary identifier is held only in memory, is not saved on the device, and is not reused after the app process ends. It allows events within one app session to be understood together but does not allow Rep x Reset to recognize the same device across separate launches.

Analytics events are not linked to an account, name, email address, advertising identifier, persistent device identifier, or precise location. PostHog person profiles, IP-based geolocation, automatic screen capture, and session replay are disabled, and client IP addresses are discarded by the PostHog project. We use these events only to evaluate and improve Rep x Reset, not for advertising or tracking across apps or websites.

You can turn analytics off at any time in Rep x Reset Settings under “Share Product Analytics.” Turning it off stops future analytics events. The preference itself is stored only on your device.

Data We Do Not Collect

The app does not require an account and does not collect your name or email address in the app. Analytics never includes camera video, images, pose coordinates, exercise names, exact reps, sets, weights, rest times, workout scores, receipt images, note text, or the app or service selected from the share sheet.

Workout Information

Workout settings such as sets, reps, rest duration, and optional exercise names are used to run the workout experience on your device. They are not uploaded by Rep x Reset.

Pace Receipts

If you attach an image to a pace receipt, that image stays local in the app and only appears on the receipt you choose to share through the system share sheet. Rep x Reset does not upload or collect receipt images.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Rep x Reset uses StoreKit entitlement information on your device to unlock access and records only a coarse analytics event indicating whether a purchase completed or did not complete. Rep x Reset does not receive payment card details.

App Store Data

If you install Rep x Reset through the App Store, Apple may provide crash reports, sales reports, and install metrics through App Store Connect. That information is governed by Apple's terms and privacy practices.

Support

If you contact us for support, we will use the information you provide only to respond to your request.

Website Analytics

The repxreset.com website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate page visits. This is separate from analytics sent by the iOS app. Vercel Web Analytics may process information such as the page visited, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, and coarse country or region. It is configured as privacy-focused aggregate website measurement and is not used by Rep x Reset for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Retention And Deletion

App analytics is retained only for product measurement and expires under PostHog's service retention schedule, which may retain Product Analytics events for up to seven years. Because each analytics identifier is temporary, is not reused across app launches, and is not connected to an account or contact information, Rep x Reset cannot retrieve analytics by your name or recognize which session events belonged to you. Turning analytics off stops future events. You may send a privacy or deletion request to support@repxreset.com; support messages and other information you provide directly can be deleted on request.

Service Providers

PostHog processes the limited iOS product analytics described above, and Vercel hosts this website and provides aggregate website analytics. We require service providers to handle data consistently with this policy and applicable privacy requirements.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The latest version will always be posted at this URL.
